Alan Morrison appointed associate professor of organ at Westminster Choir College

Alan Morrison has been appointed associate professor of organ at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey, effective fall 2012, succeeding Ken Cowan.



He will head the organ department and serve as coordinator for sacred music, organ, and conducting. Morrison has served on the organ faculty of Westminster since 2006 and will continue as chairman of the organ department at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he has completed his tenth year.



He is a regular performer on the Dobson organ in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center, where he serves as an artistic advisor.



Alan Morrison has toured extensively under the exclusive management of Karen McFarlane Artists, Inc. since 1996.
