Russell Meyer & Associates Opus 1

Russell Meyer & Associates Opus 1

Russell Meyer & Associates Opus 1 (1998), three-manual/29-rank rebuild and enlargement of 1909 two-manual C.S. Haskell organ.

In storage in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Sound and stoplist strongly reminiscent of American organs from 1880–1915 by such builders as Hook, Roosevelt, Jardine, Estey, and their contemporaries. Most of its pipework dates from those years. Five 16’ ranks, five reed voices (including an 1881 Hook & Hastings Bell Clarinet) plus four wooden flute ranks, and three metal flutes. Fourteen of the metal flue ranks are slotted. Electro-mechanical action. $45,000. Additional ranks and installation available at added cost.
