Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, University of Chicago, Illinois, will be the headquarters of a regional carillon conference September 29–30. Alex Johnson (a member of The Diapason’s 20 under 30 Class of 2021) will lead a masterclass, Jim Fackenthal and John Lehrer will perform guest recitals, in addition to other events. The 30th Texas Regional Carillon Conference will be held at the Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, October 20–21. Karel Keldermans and Austin Ferguson will perform guest recitals, and there will be a members’ recital and a presentation by Tim Verdin of The Verdin Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, on the refurbishment of the church’s carillon in 2019.
