2018 Howard Mayer Brown Award

Ross W. Duffin and Beverly Simmons

Early Music America announces recipients of its 2018 Howard Mayer Brown Award for Lifetime Achievement in the field of early music: Ross W. Duffin and Beverly Simmons.

Duffin is artistic director of Quire Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio, and Simmons is executive director of the group.

The award will be presented in May at Early Music America’s annual meeting in Bloomington, Indiana. The award is named in memory of the musicologist from the University of Chicago, Howard Mayer Brown.
