AGO NYACOP winners

The American Guild of Organists announced winners of its biennial National Young Artists Competition in Organ Playing at its national convention in Houston, Texas, June 18.

First prize was awarded to Katelyn Emerson, a member of The Diapason’s 20 under 30 Class of 2015. Second prize was awarded to Kirk Rich. Third prize and the audience prize went to Weicheng Zhao. The list of five finalists in the competition was rounded out by Nicholas Capozzoli, also a member of The Diapason’s 20 under 30 Class of 2015, and Zachary Zwahlen.
