Annie Gao, a member of The Diapason’s 20 Under 30 Class of 2025, used her new Clavion carillon practice keyboard built by Reinold van Zijl to perform a postlude (Bach, Sinfonia, BWV 29) with the smaller of two Flentrop organs at All Saints Episcopal Church, Palo Alto, California, May 25.
The Clavion keyboard is a new model from van Zijl, developed with Boudewijn Zwart, which is versatile and light enough to be transported with relative ease for use in local indoor concerts.
