Butz-Musikverlag announces a new publication of Gabriel Josef Rheinberger’s Acht frühe Orgelwerke (Eight Early Organ Works, BU 2939).
A manuscript of organ compositions by the young Rheinberger was recently (re)discovered in the Munich Staatsbibliothek; five of the pieces were previously only available in the Rheinberger complete edition.
Three compositions are premiered in this new publication, making all eight works (character pieces and fugues) now available for the first time in one edition.
