The Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ will move their annual Christmas with Kennerley concert to an online-only viewing opportunity. The concert will be pre-recorded and available online between December 12–28.
Portland Municipal Organist James Kennerley will welcome husband and wife soloists Jonathan Boyd and Malinda Haslett, the Pine Tree Bell Ringers, two pieces from the Nutcracker performed by dancers from the Maine State Ballet, as well as brass accompaniment. This celebration of Christmas for the new normal is being produced in advance of its release to the public.
The concert is available for online purchase via PortTIX.com (or by calling 208/842-0800). Digital "seats" are being sold on a Pay-What-You-Choose system starting at $10, plus applicable PortTIX handling fees.

The Kotzschmar Organ (www.foko.org), dedicated in 1912, is one of only two municipal organs in the U.S. with a municipal organist. Housed in the historic Merrill Auditorium in the Arts district of Portland, Maine, the Kotzschmar offers an annual concert series featuring guest artists from around the world.
The Municipal Organist, James Kennerley, is an award-winning keyboardist, conductor, composer and tenor. Hailing from Great Britain, he has performed at major music venues throughout the U.S. and Europe, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. The Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ maintains and preserves the organ, in addition to producing and promoting concerts and managing the Kotzschmar Memorial Trust Scholarship.
