The Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, MA, presents a livestreamed Lenten organ concert, Sunday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m., free of charge.
Dr. James Jordan and Dr. SharonRose Pfeiffer, artists-in-residence, will perform works by Bach, Dupre, and Widor on the newly completed E. M. Skinner organ.
The instrument was restored by Nelson Barden of Boston, and comprises parts of eighteen different E. M. Skinner organs, includes over 12,000 pipes, and is the only one in the world with its particular surround-sound configuration.
