The 51st annual Sewanee Church Music Conference was held July 9-15 at DuBose Conference Center in Monteagle, Tennessee, and at the University of the South. Filled to capacity, the conference attracted 153 organists, choir directors, and choristers from 26 states. Dr. Robert Delcamp, professor of music at the University of the South, planned and directed the conference. Dr. John Fenstermaker, organist and choirmaster (retired) of Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, and Dr. Stephen Hamilton, minister of music, The Church of the Holy Trinity, New York, headed the conference faculty.
