Diapason editor visits Juilliard

During a visit to New York City on March 26, The Diapason’s editor visited the organ class at the Juilliard School. Held in Paul Hall, the class is open to guests and visitors, and takes place Thursdays at 11 a.m. Organ department chair Paul Jacobs addressed the students following their performances, emphasizing practice and preparation, note solidity, devotion, and discipline. Jacobs also thanked guest Tom Schmidt, retiring this year after serving for 25 years at St. Peter’s Lutheran in New York, for his kindness towards the class.
