Michael Ging joins R. A. Colby

Michael Ging

Michael Ging is appointed project developer for R. A. Colby, Inc., Johnson City, Tennessee. In his new role, he works directly with clients at every stage of the organbuilding process, from designing and constructing new pipe, hybrid, and digital organs to managing rebuilds and restorations. 

An experienced organ consultant, Ging is also founder and managing partner of Seven Eight Artists, an artist management agency representing concert organists based in North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, his 24-year career as a church musician included positions such as professor of organ at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida; principal organist at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Houston, Texas; and director of music at New Hope Lutheran Church, Missouri City, Texas. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Houston, a Master of Music degree from Rice University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
