Peragallo organ for Saint Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg, Indiana

Peragallo Opus 772, Saint Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg, Indiana

Peragallo Pipe Organ Company has built a new organ, their Opus 772 for Saint Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg, Indiana: four manuals and pedal, 40 ranks, 50 Walker pipe sampled stops.

The nave has a seating capacity of over 1,200 and an unconventional 270-degree in-the-round floor plan. The acoustical environment is bright and semi-reverberant, with plenty of height and hard surfaces. The instrument features a French design controlled from a low-profile terraced four-manual console. The console is movable, as the parish concert series is most active. The façade design features a stepped, angled casework to project the tone of the instrument around the church.

The organ is featured on the cover of the October 2023 issue of The Diapason
