Sander Booij and his associates have completed their first organ project in the Koepelkerk, Renswoude, the Netherlands. The church dates from 1639, and the organ project took four years to complete. Pipework from the seventeenth century is utilized with modern crafted workings in a newly designed case that incorporates aspects of 17th-century architecture.
The project story is documented in the new film, “A New Organ is Born, Episode 2: Renswoude,” now released as part of the second season of the series Organ Hunting in the Netherlands (https://www.organacademy.se/organ-hunting-in-the-netherland), in cooperation with the Göteborg International Organ Academy.
