University of Chicago carillon conference

Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, University of Chicago, Illinois, will be the headquarters of a regional carillon conference September 29–30. 

Alex Johnson (a member of The Diapason’s 20 under 30 Class of 2021) will lead a masterclass, Jim Fackenthal and John Lehrer will perform guest recitals, in addition to other events. (The chapel’s carillon is profiled by Simone Browne in the April 2023 issue, page 6.)
