Zarex organ publications

Scherzo for Organ by Frederick Hohman

Zarex Scores announces two new organ publications. Scherzo (ZS 1022, $15), by Frederick Hohman, was written and premiered by the composer in 1973. It is Hohman’s first composition and lasts approximately 5½ minutes. A recording is available at the Pro Organo website.

Three Preludes for Piano (ZS 1023, $20) is Hohman’s 1999 transcription for organ of George Gershwin’s work. The transcription presumes a three- or four-manual organ with 61-note manual compass and 32-note pedal compass.
