We wished to discover for ourselves a bit of what makes this fervent musician tick, and also to explore some of his views on the role of the organ and its music in the face of the popular culture juggernaut that challenges us all.

The Neue Bachgesellschaft has organized a series of Europa Bach Festivals, which will take place periodically in large European cities. The first festival occurred in Paris and its region from September to December 2005.

I started by noting that the more you know, the less you know. This time, I thought I’d give some questions, try to put them in context, and invite you to cogitate and moil over them.
