The Choirs of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Chicago, directed by Paul French, have recorded a new Christmas CD, Sweet Was the Song the Virgin Sang, featuring choral music of the season accompanied by organist Kelly Dobbs-Mickus, harpists Joanne Glover and Keryn Wouden, and chamber orchestra.
The program includes works of William Ferris, Grayston Ives, Andrew Carter, Healey Willan, Harold Darke and many others
Sales of the recording will assist with the ongoing maintenance of the church’s historic E. M. Skinner organ (Opus 719, 1928).
