Orgues Létourneau Opus 131

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin, Texas, recently signed a contract with Orgues Létourneau for a new pipe organ as the first in a two-phase project. Once the renovation of Good Shepherd’s nave is complete this autumn, a 32-rank organ will be installed in a new gallery at the west end of the church.

The organ, Opus 131, will be played from a three-manual console in the Anglo-American style with 300 levels of memory and a full complement of thumb and toe pistons. Plans for the second phase of the project include another pipe organ to be installed in the church chancel and playable from the same console.
