Alan Morrison was honored by the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists with its 2022 Distinguished Achievement Award.
The ceremony was held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the chapter’s gala dinner event on June 24. The award reads, “In recognition of extraordinary contributions to the teaching, promotion, and preservation of the pipe organ and associated repertoire.”
Morrison recently completed his twentieth year at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where he holds the Haas Charitable Trust Chair in Organ Studies.
